The Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates programme places young professionals in the office of a Deputy Commissioner in each of Haryana’s districts for roughly a year. Associates are not researchers. They work on the delivery end of government, tracking how flagship programmes in education, health, women and child development, skilling and digital services actually land in a district, and feeding what they find back to the Chief Minister’s office.
It is one of the older state government fellowships of this kind, running since 2016, and it is implemented with the Global Village Foundation as lead partner and Rishihood University handling training. Recruitment is national rather than restricted to Haryana residents. Associates must be recent graduates or postgraduates under the age of twenty eight with a consistent academic record and working ability in both Hindi and English, since most of the fieldwork happens in Hindi.
