The Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare will participate in Special Campaign 6.0 from 2nd October to 31st October 2026. The campaign aims to promote cleanliness across government offices and clear the backlog of pending administrative matters.
What the campaign will focus on
DARE and ICAR will concentrate on several key areas during the month-long drive. These include disposing of pending references promptly, resolving public complaints faster, and improving the handling of grievance appeals. The departments will also prioritise switching to digital file systems to reduce reliance on paper-based records.
Beyond administrative efficiency, the campaign encompasses physical cleanliness and environmental measures. Activities will include waste management and conversion initiatives, health and sanitation improvements, tree planting exercises, beautification of office buildings, and better use of available office space.
During the previous Special Campaign 5.0, DARE and ICAR achieved notable results. The departments disposed of a large number of public grievances and appeals. They successfully transitioned many files to digital format through the e-File system, which freed up physical office space and allowed for proper disposal of accumulated scrap and waste. Awareness campaigns were also conducted across DARE and ICAR offices throughout the country to encourage participation.
