The Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance is preparing to launch Special Campaign 6.0 starting 2nd October 2026. This nationwide cleanliness and administrative efficiency drive will involve all DFS offices, banks and financial institutions. The campaign aims to reduce pending work and maintain cleanliness standards across the financial sector.
The new campaign builds on results from Special Campaign 5.0, which ran through October 2025 and achieved significant outcomes in clearing backlog and physical spaces.
What was accomplished so far
Between its previous campaign in October 2025 and now, the Department of Financial Services has maintained ongoing cleanliness and efficiency efforts from November 2025 through August 2026. During this period, the department:
- Cleaned 968 sites across its offices and institutions
- Freed up 96,328 square feet of space
- Resolved 14,590 public complaints
- Addressed 3,987 appeals against earlier decisions
- Earned Rs. 1,02,344 from selling scrap materials
In the earlier Special Campaign 5.0 conducted in October 2025, DFS had cleaned over 41,000 locations nationwide and generated Rs. 3.20 crore through scrap disposal. The department met all its targets during that exercise.
How the new campaign will work
Special Campaign 6.0 will involve the main DFS office along with its attached agencies, subsidiary bodies and public sector banks and financial institutions. All field offices have been briefed through video conferences and formal notices about their responsibilities. Progress will be tracked using the Special Campaign Dashboard and Portal Management system on a monthly basis.
What this means for you
If you have pending complaints with banks or financial institutions under DFS control, the campaign may accelerate their resolution. The drive aims to reduce delays in processing public grievances and appeals. Additionally, improved office spaces and streamlined operations could lead to better service delivery at bank branches and DFS offices you interact with.
