This is the yearly clerical recruitment run by IBPS on behalf of eleven public sector banks, filling Customer Service Associate posts against the 2027-28 vacancy year. A Customer Service Associate handles front desk banking work such as cash, deposits, account servicing and customer queries at branch level.
Anyone holding a degree in any subject from a recognised university can apply, provided they are between 20 and 28 years old as on 1 August 2026. Age relaxation applies to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, ex-servicemen and widowed or divorced women as set out in the notification. Recruitment is done state by state, so a candidate picks a single State or Union Territory and competes only for those vacancies.
Selection runs in two stages. Candidates first sit an online Preliminary examination, and those shortlisted go on to an online Main examination. Provisional allotment to a bank follows on the basis of Main examination marks.
Registration opened on 1 August 2026 and now closes on 28 August 2026 after an official extension from the original 21 August deadline.
