Bank of Baroda is recruiting Local Bank Officers in Junior Management Grade Scale I. The Local Bank Officer scheme ties an officer to a particular state, so candidates apply against a specific state’s vacancies and are expected to be proficient in the local language of that state.
Unlike a probationary officer intake, this is not an entry level opening. Alongside a degree in any discipline, applicants need at least one year of post-qualification experience as an officer in a scheduled commercial bank, which narrows the field to people already working in banking. The stated age band is 21 to 30 years, with the usual category relaxations applying on top.
The role is a general banking officer posting covering branch operations, credit and customer relationships within the chosen state. Pay is on the standard JMGS-I officer scale.
Registration opened on 18 August 2026 and closes on 7 September 2026, with the application handled through the IBPS operated portal.
