About the International Film Festival of India

IFFI is South Asia’s oldest and largest film festival, established in 1952. It is jointly hosted by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, and the Entertainment Society of Goa, under the State Government of Goa. The festival brings together filmmakers, established and emerging artists, and film enthusiasts from across the globe.

The festival features international film competitions, cultural programmes, masterclasses with renowned filmmakers, and tributes to cinema. It celebrates films in different languages and showcases diverse cinematic traditions, all set against Goa’s cultural backdrop.

Non-media registrations

Film enthusiasts who are not media professionals can also register as general delegates to attend the festival, enjoy screenings, participate in discussions and attend other activities. Such registrations are handled separately through https://www.iffigoa.org/delegate-registration.

What this means for you

If you work in journalism, media or broadcasting and plan to cover the 57th IFFI, you must apply before 15 October 2026. Prepare your documents well in advance, as the registration requires government ID, proof of your work in media, and organisational credentials. If you attended previous IFFI editions with accreditation, you can reuse your existing account but should update any changes to your details or documents.

If you are a film enthusiast but not a media professional, you can still attend the festival as a delegate through a separate registration process on the IFFI website.
