What is Kaumarabhritya

Kaumarabhritya is a branch of Ayurveda medicine that specialises in the health and development of children. It covers areas such as growth and development, nutrition, building immunity, mental health and treatment of childhood illnesses. The Department of Kaumarabhritya at AIIA provides services ranging from newborn care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to vaccination, mental health treatment and skin care. The department also runs a specialised clinic for cancer care in children and treats 120–150 children daily in its outpatient section.

Conference structure and content

KAUMARACON 2026 will run scientific sessions alongside practical workshops. A pre-conference workshop will focus on computer-aided drug designing (Ayurinformatics) and diagnostic methods in paediatric care. The main programme includes an oration lecture, six scientific sessions with one dedicated to international experts, and 12 parallel sessions where researchers can present findings. Over 175 scientific papers will be presented across these sessions, offering a platform for sharing clinical experiences and new approaches in Ayurveda child healthcare.
