The Publications Division under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has secured seven awards at the Federation of Indian Publishers Awards for Excellence in Book Production 2026. The honours recognise the division’s output across Hindi, English and Urdu publications spanning books, journals and reference materials. The awards were presented following the announcement of results at the FIP competition.
The Awards and Publications
The Publications Division received four Second Prizes and three Third Prizes across different categories.
Second Prize winners:
- Bharat 2026 in the Reference Books – Hindi category
- Wings to Our Hopes – Volume 2 in the General and Trade Books – English category
- Yojana (July 2026 edition), themed ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’, in the Journals & House Magazines – Hindi category
- Kurukshetra – A Rural Development Monthly Since 1952 in the Journals & House Magazines – English category
Third Prize winners:
- Dharti Ki Sehat in the Children’s Books (General Interest) (0–10 Years) – Hindi category
- Rangoli Roop Sur Lay Ki in the Art and Coffee Table Books – Hindi category
- Ajkal Urdu (July 2026) in the Journals & House Magazines, Indian Languages (Urdu) category
Dr. Dhiraj Kakadia, Director General of the Publications Division, acknowledged the work of editors and staff involved in producing these titles. He stated that the recognition reflects the collective effort of division personnel and reinforces its commitment to publishing credible, quality content addressing knowledge, literature, culture and national development.
