CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCES (ASSISTANT COMMANDANTS) EXAMINATION, 2026

The Union Public Service Commission has announced that candidates who passed the written examination for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2026, held on 19 July, may now proceed to the next stage. Those whose roll numbers have been declared qualified will face Physical Standards Tests and Physical Efficiency Tests, to be organised by the Sashastra Seema Bal on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Qualification at this stage remains provisional. Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements and produce original documents to prove their claims.

What you need to do next

Qualified candidates have a window of fifteen days from the result announcement to log into the UPSC portal at https://upsconline.nic.in. During this period, you must update your personal details, including your current educational qualification status and proof that you have passed any required qualifying examination. You also need to upload documents supporting your claims for reservation or relaxation, such as caste certificate or economically weaker section documentation, if applicable.

The portal requires you to submit information on your postal address, higher qualifications, work experience, preferences among the armed police forces, marital status, and other details as instructed. Even if you uploaded everything during the original application, you must log in again, verify your information, and formally resubmit your application form. Failure to complete this step will make you ineligible for further stages.

The Sashastra Seema Bal will send you an e-Admit Card through its recruitment website at http://recruitment.ssb.gov.in and also to your registered email address. Check both your inbox and spam folder regularly. When you appear for the physical tests, bring your e-Admit Card, the printed copy of your finally submitted application form, and a photo identity such as Aadhar, driving licence, passport or voter card.

If your address changes, inform the Sashastra Seema Bal headquarters immediately at 011-26193929 or through email at comdtrectt.ssbdel@ssb.gov.in.

What this means for you

You are now moving closer to selection, but only if you complete the online update within the given timeframe. Missing this deadline or failing to upload required documents will eliminate you from the competition. Keep all original certificates ready and monitor your email and the SSB website closely for your admit card and test schedule.
