Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan has called for educational institutions across India to move beyond basic teaching and develop into centres of research and innovation. Speaking at the Founders’ Day Celebrations of Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology (KVIT) Trust in Erode, Tamil Nadu, he stressed that young people must prepare themselves for emerging technologies and pursue research-oriented learning.

At the event, he inaugurated ‘Arivukoodam’, a research park associated with KVIT. He also witnessed the signing of memoranda of understanding between Anchor Industries and Arivukoodam, strengthening ties between industry and academia. The Vice President toured an exhibition by the Technology Business Incubator of Kongu Engineering College displaying innovative projects and technological solutions.
