The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has announced the recipients of the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awards for 2024. Four individuals have been selected across different adventure disciplines for their outstanding contributions to the field. The President of India will present these awards at Rashtrapati Bhavan along with the National Sports Awards 2025.
Who has been selected and what they receive
The four awardees are:
- Ms. Baljeet Kaur (Land Adventure)
- Shri Skalzang Rigzin (Land Adventure)
- Shri Rimo Saha (Water Adventure)
- Shri Shiv Prasad Chamoli (Lifetime Achievement)
The awards span four categories: Land Adventure, Water Adventure, Air Adventure and Lifetime Achievement. Each recipient will receive a statuette, a certificate and Rs. 15 lakh in award money. The selections were made by the National Selection Committee after evaluating nominations and conducting thorough scrutiny of candidates.
