Vice-President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan will travel to Chandigarh on September 4, 2026, to open two new facilities at Panjab University. As ex-officio Chancellor of the university, he will formally inaugurate research and innovation infrastructure meant to boost the institution’s academic capabilities.
What will be inaugurated
The Vice-President will open the Advanced Instrumentation Facility at SAIF/CIL, which stands for Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility and Central Instrumentation Laboratories. This facility is designed to support research work at the university.
He will also formally launch the Panjab University Tech Innovation Forum. According to the announcement, this forum is intended to develop the university’s capacity in three areas:
- Research activities
- Innovation projects
- Startup ecosystem
