The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas is launching a dedicated co-working space and innovation hub called MC²+ at the NRL Centre in Guwahati tomorrow, September 10, 2026. This facility is designed to support startups and entrepreneurs, particularly in the Northeast region of India. The move reflects efforts to build a stronger startup ecosystem in areas outside major metropolitan centres.
What the new facility offers
The co-working space occupies the 6th floor of the NRL Centre and includes over 50 workstations, 16 private cabins, 4 dedicated investor meeting rooms, and 2 technical consultant rooms. Additional amenities include 2 general meeting rooms, a full cafeteria and common areas designed to encourage informal networking among entrepreneurs.
Beyond physical workspace, MC²+ will connect startups with professional support across multiple areas. Domain experts, technical consultants, legal advisors, and finance and audit specialists will be available to guide entrepreneurs on matters such as technology development, product refinement, intellectual property protection, contracts, regulatory compliance, financial planning and business structuring.
The investor meeting rooms are intended to provide founders with spaces to present their ideas, connect with potential funders and explore funding and partnership opportunities. The technical consultant rooms will enable startups to seek focused expert guidance on development challenges and product issues.
