Indian community
Around 1.7 million people of Indian origin, about 3 percent of South Africa's total population, per the MEA brief on India-South Africa relations. About 80 percent live in KwaZulu-Natal, around 15 percent in Gauteng and the remaining 5 percent around Cape Town.
