Ministry of Corporate Affairs all geared up for upcoming Special Swachchta Campaign 6.0

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has announced its readiness to launch Special Swachchta Campaign 6.0 in the current year. This initiative builds on the success of the previous campaign phase, which achieved over 90% of its cleanliness and governance targets. The new campaign will expand its scope to involve more citizens and improve public service delivery through better digital systems and waste management practices.

What the new campaign will focus on

Special Swachchta Campaign 6.0 will centre on three main areas. First, it aims to reach and engage a larger section of the public in cleanliness efforts. Second, the Ministry plans to strengthen governance by introducing improved digital workflows for better administration. Third, it will establish proper systems for electronic waste management and convert waste materials into useful resources through modern waste-to-wealth methods.

The previous Special Campaign 5.0, completed last year, had set targets across workplace cleanliness, better use of office spaces, and resolution of pending matters referred by the Prime Minister’s Office and Members of Parliament. The Ministry reported handling over 90% of these targets successfully, which included clearing pending citizen grievances filed through the Centralized Public Grievance Redress And Monitoring System.

Beyond the formal campaign phases, the Ministry has been running continuous initiatives. These include regular cleanliness drives, tree planting programmes, health check-up camps for staff, and improved filing and record management. The Ministry has also disposed of scrap materials effectively, freeing up valuable office space and establishing sustainable sanitation practices across its offices.

What this means for you

If you interact with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for regulatory or business purposes, you can expect faster, cleaner, and more efficient service delivery. The improved digital systems should make filing applications and tracking status easier. If you have filed a grievance or query with the government, better record management means your complaint is more likely to be tracked and resolved properly. The Ministry’s focus on environmental practices also reflects a broader government commitment to sustainability that may influence corporate regulation going forward.
