The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas held the seventh high-level meeting of the OPEC-India Energy Dialogue on 22 September 2026 in New Delhi. He pointed out that the OPEC-India Energy Dialogue was launched in New Delhi in 2015 and has now been running for eleven years. He commended India’s practical approach to energy challenges and noted that many of India’s energy priorities align with OPEC’s own goals. He also praised India’s commitment to diplomacy and dialogue for resolving international challenges.
The meeting recognised progress made through the dialogue at both senior and technical levels. Both parties agreed to deepen energy cooperation further. The next high-level meeting will be held in Vienna, Austria at a date to be decided by both sides.
