This central scholarship supports Scheduled Tribe students studying in Class IX and X to reduce dropout at the secondary school stage, covering maintenance allowance and an ad-hoc grant for books and stationery, disbursed directly to the student’s bank account through DBT.
The scheme is implemented jointly by the central and state governments, with states releasing funds and verifying eligibility through the National Scholarship Portal each academic year.
Tribal certificate, income certificate, Aadhaar card, previous year marksheet, bank account details, and school enrolment proof.
