What is e-EPIC?
e-EPIC is the digital, PDF version of your Voter ID card (Electoral Photo Identity Card). It is a secure, non-editable PDF with a QR code that you can save on your phone or print. It can be used as identity proof at polling stations, just like the physical card.
Before you start
Your mobile number must be linked with your voter record. If it is not, the OTP will not arrive. In that case, use Form 8 on the voters portal to update your mobile number, or complete e-KYC as shown on the portal.
Step by step
- Go to voters.eci.gov.in (or open the Voter Helpline app).
- Sign up or log in with your mobile number and OTP.
- Select E-EPIC Download.
- Enter your EPIC number (or Form 6 reference number) and choose your state.
- Verify with the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
- Click Download e-EPIC and save the PDF.
If you do not know your EPIC number
Use Search in Electoral Roll on the same portal. Search by your details or by mobile number to find your EPIC number and polling station, then download the e-EPIC.
Tips
- The download is free. Do not use unofficial websites that ask for payment.
- If your photo or details are wrong, apply for correction through Form 8 and download the updated e-EPIC once approved.
- Keep a printed copy as backup on polling day.
