The Ministry of Coal has announced that India Mining Week, a major industry gathering showcasing mining technologies and investment opportunities, will be held on 24-26 February 2027 instead of its originally planned dates of 15-17 November 2026. The event will take place at Yashobhoomi Convention Center in New Delhi. The decision came after discussions with industry participants, exhibitors, speakers and government bodies.

Key facts

  • New dates: 24-26 February 2027
  • Original dates: 15-17 November 2026
  • Venue: Yashobhoomi Convention Center, New Delhi
  • All existing registrations, bookings and sponsorships automatically transferred to new dates

Why the dates changed

The Ministry of Coal cited two main reasons for rescheduling. First, the new dates avoid clashes with other significant industry and government events, allowing better participation from various ministries, public sector undertakings and international delegates. Second, moving the event away from November to February sidesteps the festive season and winter travel period in India, making it more convenient for delegates and international visitors to attend.

What remains the same

The venue, overall programme themes and event format will stay unchanged unless the Ministry announces otherwise. India Mining Week is designed to bring together mining companies, equipment and technology suppliers, policymakers, investors and industry experts to discuss trends and opportunities in India’s mining sector. The event includes an exhibition floor, conference sessions and business networking opportunities, with a focus on new technologies, sustainable mining practices and investment prospects across the mining value chain.

What this means for participants

Delegates and exhibitors who had already registered or booked spaces for November 2026 do not need to re-register. All commitments have been automatically moved to the February 2027 dates. However, if participants cannot attend the rescheduled event, they are invited to contact the India Mining Week team to discuss alternative arrangements or options.

Where to find updates

Revised schedules, announcements about speakers and other details will be published on the official website of India Mining Week and through official communication channels. Participants should monitor these sources for further information as the event approaches.
