Programme structure and content
The BNYS is a structured residential degree where students spend the first 4½ years undergoing integrated academic education alongside clinical training. This is followed by a Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) lasting one year. The coursework covers both naturopathy principles and yogic sciences, with students gaining practical exposure in a functioning hospital environment.
The 250-bedded Naturopathy Hospital on the Pune campus serves as the primary clinical training facility, allowing students to work with real patients and develop practical skills under supervision. The programme emphasises both theoretical understanding and hands-on clinical competence in naturopathic treatments and yoga therapy.
Who can apply
Candidates must have passed the 10th and 12th standard (or equivalent) examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised board. They must also meet the prescribed medical fitness requirements.
The institute has set a preference for candidates who took the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate studies (NEET-UG) in 2026. Those who qualify on this basis will be admitted first. Any remaining seats will be filled based on merit in the 10+2 PCB subjects, following the admission procedure and reservation norms applicable to central government institutions.
Campus facilities and environment
The Nisarg Gram campus is spread across 25 acres and includes dedicated infrastructure for teaching, training and student life. Beyond the hospital, the facility houses academic buildings, research wings, separate residential hostels for male and female students, and modern yoga halls equipped for both instruction and research purposes. The integrated campus environment is designed to provide students with a comprehensive educational experience combining classroom learning, clinical work, research opportunities and wellness activities.
Application and selection timeline
Candidates can submit online applications from 29 September through 19 October 2026. The institute will release a provisional merit list on 27 October 2026, followed by the final merit and waiting list on 30 October 2026. Counselling will take place on two sets of dates: 12–13 November and 18–19 November 2026. Classes are scheduled to begin on 30 November 2026.
What this means for you
If you have completed 12th standard with PCB subjects and are interested in naturopathy or yoga as a healthcare profession, this is a full scholarship-equivalent opportunity at a premier central government institute. Residential admission means accommodation, facilities and clinical exposure are provided at the campus. The NEET-UG preference means that your entrance exam preparation is valued, but lack of NEET participation does not disqualify you if your 10+2 PCB scores are competitive.
The one-year internship embedded in the programme ensures work-ready graduates. Upon completion, you will hold a degree from an institution affiliated with a Central University, strengthening your credentials in naturopathy and yoga-based healthcare.
