The Ministry of Power’s National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) held the Mumbai regional round of the NTPC Electron Quiz 2026-27, a knowledge competition aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students. The event brought together 36 teams from engineering and management institutes across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Goa to compete on business and management topics.
How the competition worked
The quiz took place on 17 September 2026 at Bharat Ratnam Mega CFC in Andheri East, Mumbai. All 36 participating teams first sat for a written round based on business and management themes. The top six teams then advanced to an on-stage final that included audio-visual questions, rapid-fire rounds and buzzer-based questions, conducted by quiz master Gautam Bose.
The competition tested students on contemporary topics including leadership, market dynamics, corporate strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability.
Prize money was distributed among the top three teams:
- First prize: ₹60,000 per team, won by Sanidhy Singh Raghuwanshi and Dev Khemani from SPJIMR, Mumbai
- Second prize: ₹40,000 per team, won by Ishaan Jayant Yewale and Rushab Gokul Jain Khivasara from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies
- Third prize: ₹20,000 per team, won by Shagun Srivastava and Johan Sam Biju from IIT Bombay
The first and second-place teams will represent NTPC Western Region-I at the national level competition.
