The Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, inaugurated the 20th Rozgar Mela in Hyderabad on Saturday, highlighting the role young people must play in building a developed India by 2047. The Income Tax Department organised this recruitment drive across 45 locations nationwide. The event saw appointment letters distributed to more than 51,000 candidates for various positions in Central Government organisations.
Key Details of the Rozgar Mela
At the Hyderabad location in Madhapur, 360 newly selected candidates received appointment letters for different posts across various Central Government agencies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the programme through video conferencing. Since the Rozgar Mela series began, the Central Government has provided employment to nearly 13 lakh young people across India through these 20 editions.
Beyond government jobs, the Union Minister noted that India is also creating employment through private sector growth. The country has become a major investment destination and ranks among the world leaders in the number of startups.
The Minister identified several high-potential sectors for future job creation: Artificial Intelligence, robotics, semiconductors, cyber security, drone technology, 3D printing and green energy. He urged young people to focus on these emerging areas rather than simply seeking existing positions.
