What this recruitment is
State Bank of India is engaging a Group Chief Information Security Officer on a contractual basis under Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/21. This is a single senior leadership post that owns information security and cyber defence across the SBI group. The annual Cost to Company range goes up to Rs 2.50 crore and is negotiable, split between fixed and variable pay in a 90 to 10 ratio. The initial contract runs for three years and may be renewed for a further two years, with the total engagement not exceeding five years. The indicative place of posting is Mumbai or Navi Mumbai.
Who can apply
Candidates need a B.Tech or B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics and Communication or Cyber Security with at least 50 percent, or an MCA, or an M.Tech or M.Sc in those disciplines. At least 15 to 20 years of post qualification experience in information technology or information security is essential, of which a minimum of five years must be in the core domain at senior management level in banks or financial institutions. The maximum age is 57 years as on 31 August 2026.
