You can check your PM Kisan payment status for free on pmkisan.gov.in by clicking Know Your Status in the Farmers Corner, entering your registration number and verifying the OTP. If you do not know your registration number, you can find it on the same page with your mobile or Aadhaar number. Under PM-KISAN, eligible landholding farmer families get Rs 6,000 a year in three instalments of Rs 2,000 each. The 22nd instalment was released on 13 March 2026 from Guwahati to about 9.32 crore farmers.
Step by step: check PM Kisan status
- Go to pmkisan.gov.in.
- In the Farmers Corner section, click Know Your Status.
- Enter your registration number and the captcha, then click Get OTP.
- Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
- Your status appears, showing each instalment, the date it was paid, the bank account, and whether eKYC, land seeding and Aadhaar-bank seeding are complete.
Forgot your registration number?
- On the Know Your Status page, click Know your registration number.
- Enter your registered mobile number or Aadhaar number and the captcha.
- Verify with the OTP. Your registration number and name are shown.
Check the village beneficiary list
- On pmkisan.gov.in, open Farmers Corner and click Beneficiary List.
- Select state, district, sub-district, block and village.
- Click Get Report. The list shows names of beneficiaries in that village and whether their payments are active.
Check on the mobile app
Download the PM Kisan GoI app from the Play Store. Log in as a beneficiary with your registration number or mobile number and OTP, and open Beneficiary Status. The same app lets you complete face-authentication eKYC.

How to complete PM Kisan eKYC
- OTP eKYC: on pmkisan.gov.in click eKYC, enter Aadhaar, and verify with the OTP sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile.
- Face authentication: in the PM Kisan GoI app, using the Aadhaar FaceRD app on the same phone. Useful if your mobile is not linked to Aadhaar.
- Biometric eKYC: at a Common Service Centre or state service centre, for a small fee.

Exact release dates are announced by the government. Payment goes directly to the Aadhaar-seeded bank account by DBT.
Common reasons for not getting the instalment
- eKYC not done.
- Land records not verified or land seeding shows No.
- Bank account not linked to Aadhaar, or account closed or frozen.
- Name mismatch between Aadhaar, bank and land records.
- You fall in an excluded category: income tax payers, institutional landholders, serving or retired government employees (other than Group D and multi-tasking staff), professionals like doctors and lawyers, constitutional post holders, and pensioners getting Rs 10,000 or more a month.
