The Department of Science and Technology (DST) has announced that it will launch Special Campaign 6.0 starting 2 October 2026. This follows the extended run of Special Campaign 5.0, which ran from November 2025 to August 2026. The campaign focuses on cleanliness, faster disposal of pending work, and better management of government offices.
What was accomplished in Special Campaign 5.0
During the extended implementation of Special Campaign 5.0, the DST and its attached institutions achieved the following results:
- Resolved 1,426 public complaints and 201 appeals from citizens
- Processed 35 VIP references and 17 matters referred by other government departments
- Disposed of 7,099 files, including 5,455 physical files and 1,644 electronic files
- Conducted 324 cleaning and sanitation campaigns across offices
- Freed up 51,989 square feet of office space by organizing records and removing old materials
- Generated ₹19,20,173 in revenue by selling scrap and obsolete items in a systematic manner
