Madras Fertilizers Limited, working under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, organized lamp lighting ceremonies at all its Pradhan Mantri Krishi Samriddhi Kendra (PMKSK) centres across Telangana State on 17 September 2026 to mark the Prime Minister’s birthday. The event was held across the entire state following directions from the Department of Fertilizers.
What happened and where
The lamp lighting programme took place at all PMKSK centres in Telangana between 7 PM and 8 PM. The centres displayed official banners carrying the messages “PROSPEROUS FARMER – DEVELOPED INDIA” and “USE BALANCED FERTILIZERS, PROTECT MOTHER EARTH” during the observance.
What PMKSK centres do
The Pradhan Mantri Krishi Samriddhi Kendra operates as a single-window service point for farmers. Under one roof, these centres provide:
- Fertilizers supplied at government price
- Certified seeds
- Crop protection products
- Soil testing facilities
- Agricultural advisory services
- Other farming requirements
The centres are designed to help farmers access quality inputs and services while preventing black market trading in agricultural supplies.
What this means for you
If you are a farmer in Telangana, PMKSK centres offer a reliable place to buy seeds, fertilizers and other supplies at official prices without dealing with middlemen. The soil testing and agricultural advisory services available at these centres can help you understand your farm’s needs and make better decisions about what to grow and how to grow it. The centres also help protect you from buying substandard or counterfeit agricultural products.
