What this recruitment is
The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board has invited online applications for 7,500 posts of Constable (General Duty) in the Madhya Pradesh Police. Of these, 700 are in the Special Armed Force (male only) and 6,800 are non-SAF posts open to both men and women.
Who can apply
Candidates need to have passed Class 10, or Class 8 in the case of Scheduled Tribe candidates from Madhya Pradesh. The age limit is 18 to 33 years for men and 18 to 38 years for women as on 6 October 2026, with relaxation for reserved categories of the state. Male candidates must meet a minimum height of 168 cm (160 cm for ST) and the prescribed chest measurement.
Selection and dates
Selection has a computer based written test of 100 marks, a Physical Efficiency Test of 100 marks, then document verification and medical examination. Applications opened on 22 September 2026 and close on 6 October 2026, with the correction window open until 11 October 2026. The written exam is tentatively planned for 19 November 2026.
