You can check the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) beneficiary list for your village for free on the official portal, pmayg.dord.gov.in, under Awaassoft, Reports, Social Audit Reports, Beneficiary details for verification. If you already have a registration number, you can check your own house sanction and payment status under Stakeholders. Under PMAY-G, eligible rural households get Rs 1.20 lakh in plain areas and Rs 1.30 lakh in hilly states, difficult areas and IAP districts to build a pucca house.
Method 1: village-wise beneficiary list (no login needed)
- Go to pmayg.dord.gov.in.
- In the top menu, open Awaassoft and click Report.
- Scroll to section H, Social Audit Reports, and click Beneficiary details for verification.
- In the selection filters on the left, choose your state, district, block and gram panchayat.
- Select the financial year and the scheme name, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin.
- Enter the captcha and click Submit.
- The list shows beneficiary names, father’s or husband’s name, registration number, sanction status and instalments released. You can download it as Excel or PDF.
Method 2: status by registration number
- On pmayg.dord.gov.in, open Stakeholders and select IAY/PMAYG Beneficiary.
- Enter your registration number and click Submit.
- You will see the sanction order details, house photos uploaded at each stage and the dates and amounts of instalments paid.
If you do not know your registration number, use Advanced Search on the same page with your state, district, block, panchayat and name, or ask your gram panchayat secretary or block office.
Method 3: Awaas Plus and mobile apps
- The Awaas Plus 2024 survey was conducted to identify households left out of earlier lists. Surveyors use the Awaas Plus app, and the scheme also allows assisted self-survey in some states.
- The AwaasApp lets beneficiaries upload geo-tagged photos of construction stages so instalments can be released.
- Status is also available on the UMANG app by searching for PMAY-G.

The money is paid directly into the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-linked bank account in instalments tied to construction stages, such as foundation, lintel level and roof completion. Each stage is verified through geo-tagged photos.
Who is eligible
- Rural households who are homeless or living in kutcha houses with one or two rooms with kutcha walls and roof.
- Selection uses Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011 deprivation data, the Awaas Plus surveys, and verification by the gram sabha.
- Households with a motorised vehicle, a Kisan Credit Card with a limit above a set amount, a government employee member, or who pay income tax are generally excluded, among other criteria.
The scheme was extended to 2028-29 to build 2 crore more houses, taking the overall target to about 4.95 crore rural houses.
If your name is not in the list
- Check whether your household was covered in the Awaas Plus 2024 survey by asking the gram panchayat secretary.
- Raise the matter in the gram sabha, which verifies and prioritises the list.
- Submit a written request to the Block Development Officer.
- Lists are updated periodically, so check again after a few weeks.
