The NFSC Scheme and Sravan Kumar’s Support
Kuri Sravan Kumar, a 37-year-old doctoral researcher from Bhadradri Kothagudem district in Telangana, began receiving assistance under the NFSC Scheme from April 2023. The support included fellowship payments and contingency assistance designed to help him manage his living and research expenses.
Kumar faced significant obstacles before receiving this help. His father had retired, and the family was struggling financially, which made it difficult for him to continue his research without stable financial backing.
