The Ministry of Power’s National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited will conduct the Mumbai Regional Round of the NTPC Electron Quiz 2026–27 on 17 September 2026. The event will take place at Bharat Ratnam – Mega CFC in SEEPZ Special Economic Zone, Andheri (East), Mumbai. This is a free quiz competition open to undergraduate students in Engineering and Management programmes.
Event Details and Eligibility
The quiz focuses on business and management topics. Teams must have exactly two members; individual entries are not allowed. Students must be currently enrolled in Engineering or Management degree programmes and must carry a valid college ID card on the day of the event.
Registration will happen on-site between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. at Gate Numbers 4 and 5 on the 6th Floor. There is no fee to register or participate. Colleges may send as many teams as they wish.
The competition has two stages. All teams will sit for a written round first. The top six teams will then compete in an on-stage multimedia finale. The two highest-scoring teams from Mumbai will advance to the national level.
Prize Money
- First Prize (Regional): ₹60,000 per team
- Second Prize (Regional): ₹40,000 per team
- Third Prize (Regional): ₹20,000 per team
- Consolation Prize (4th–6th place, Regional): ₹8,000 per team
- First Prize (National): ₹1,00,000 per team
- Second Prize (National): ₹60,000 per team
- Third Prize (National): ₹40,000 per team
- Consolation prizes at national level range from ₹16,000 to ₹8,000
NTPC will reimburse travel costs. For the regional round, reimbursement covers AC 3-Tier train fares. For teams that reach the national level, reimbursement covers economy class airfare, and NTPC will arrange boarding, lodging and local travel.
