Event Details and Prize Structure

The Mumbai Regional Round will be held at Bharat Ratnam – Mega CFC, Gate No. 4 & 5, 6th Floor, SEEPZ Special Economic Zone, Andheri (East), Mumbai. This year’s theme focuses on business and management topics. Teams must consist of exactly two students per team.

The competition format includes a written round followed by an on-stage multimedia finale for the top six teams. The top two teams from Mumbai will advance to the national level.

Prize money at the regional level is as follows:

  • First place: ₹60,000
  • Second place: ₹40,000
  • Third place: ₹20,000
  • Fourth, fifth and sixth places: ₹8,000 each

At the national level, prize amounts are higher: first place receives ₹1,00,000, second place ₹60,000, and third place ₹40,000. Audience members attending the event will also receive prizes.

Registration is free and carries no participation charges. Educational institutions may nominate multiple teams. The registration deadline is September 15, 2026. Interested students can register via the designated link or by emailing electronquiz2025@ntpc.co.in.

What This Means for You

If you are studying engineering or management, your college can send teams to compete for regional and national prizes without any registration cost. The competition tests your knowledge of business and management concepts through both written and multimedia rounds. Winning teams can earn substantial prize money, and even audience members get prizes, making it worthwhile to attend. NTPC has run this quiz annually since 2004 as part of its outreach to students.
